“PSALM 46:1-3, 7, 10 ”
GOD IS our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear,
though the earth be removed,
and though the mountains be carried
into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be
troubled, though the mountains shake
with the swelling thereof.   Selah. ...

The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.   Selah. ...

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth.
(In Memory of our Ed Andrews)

Edward E. Andrews
Sept. 12, 1921 – April 28, 2005

Ed was born in Big Bend, Oregon in 1921 to George and Leona Andrews.

He graduated high school in Ontario, Oregon. Ed worked in the Civilian Conservation Corp. before joining the Navy and serving in World War II. It was while serving in the Navy that the Lord put a "call" on Ed's life to become a missionary. So upon returning from the Navy, Ed attended three years of seminary training in Portland, Oregon.

In 1948 Ed married Neva Green on June 6th in Portland, Oregon. This was after Neva gave considerable thought to marrying a man she knew God had called to be a missionary.

They had five children: sons Dan, Joe, Bill, and Rich and daughter Jean. The boys and their families all live here in Colorado and Jean and her family live in Minnesota. There are nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Ed loved to travel and that fit right into the "Call" the Lord had laid on Ed's life to be a missionary. He and Neva served on the mission fields through Wycliffe Bible Translators for almost forty-six years, raising their wonderful family during the first early years.

Ed had a passion for bookkeeping and was an expert. He also loved Hamm Radio. And he loved doing anonymous little kindnesses, often including a short little quip or poem appropriate to the gift.

Neva and Ed have lived in Lochbuie, Colorado for the past twelve years.

Ed is survived by his wife Neva, their four sons and daughter, his brother Al Andrews of Portland, Oregon, sister Florence Conent of Napa, Idaho, and sister Margaret Major of Athol, Idaho.
